Cultural events in Wels

A wide range of cultural events makes Wels worth visiting in the summer or winter. Whether you round off your trade fair visit with a fine concert or let yourself be taken away by a concert in the Boschhalle on the trade fair site: Wels has art and culture to suit every taste.

The municipal theatre (Stadttheater) is only a short walk from the  Hotel Hauser. Theatre productions of works by famous authors and classical concerts are staged here. A popular favourite: the Round Table 6 concerts. You can enjoy a varied cultural programme in the atmospheric ambience of the palace courtyard: Jazz, cabaret, chamber music or typical regional performances are staged here.

The municipal hall (Stadthalle) and the Boschhalle are in the immediate vicinity of the Wels trade fair site. While smaller concerts are held in the former, the Boschhalle regularly plays host to popular starts such as Die Paldauer, Udo Jürgens or shows like Lord of the Dance.
