Triathlon City Wels
Experience all the basic sports up close at Austria's most exciting city triathlon! You start in the crystal-clear waters of the Traun River, transition to the completely closed cycling route through Wels in the Stadthallenpark, and finish with several running laps through the Burggarten, across the old town to the Stadtplatz, and past Wels' landmark, the Lederturm (Leather Tower). A unique sporting experience awaits you.
Another special feature of the Wels Triathlon is that the participants are constantly visible to spectators. This year, the Junior European Cup is being held in Wels. Next year, the Austrian National Championships will take place.

Our hotel is located right in the heart of Wels, and the starting point for most cycling tours is just 500 metres away, along the River Traun. However, you can also set off directly from our hotel in any direction you wish.
There are more than 1,100 cycling tours to choose from in and around Wels.
Our hotel offers a range of amenities and services tailored to cyclists. For the secure storage of your bike, you have access to a private, lockable bike storage room, which is also equipped with tools.
After an enjoyable day on the bike, you can recharge with an after-bike snack. On the day of your departure, you are welcome to use our changing rooms and shower facilities. We also offer a laundry service to ensure your cycling clothes stay fresh.
For cleaning your bike, we provide a water hose and a Kärcher pressure washer in our courtyard. From the day you arrive, we are happy to provide helpful information when planning your cycling routes and leisure activities.
We also have good contacts with several bike workshops, all of which are conveniently located within walking distance.
Should you experience a puncture, breakdown or any other unforeseen situation during your ride, we offer a bike pick-up service. If required, we can also arrange bike rental, allowing you to explore the surrounding area even more easily.
At our hotel, we offer a generous sports breakfast with a wide selection of cereals, fresh fruit and much more, giving you the perfect energy boost for the day ahead. We also treat you to homemade granola bars that you can take with you on your cycling tours.
After an eventful day on the bike, you can enjoy an after-bike snack featuring homemade cake and coffee. This option can be booked in advance, allowing you to round off your cycling experience with a delicious treat.
For your evening meal, we are happy to recommend restaurants and can also make reservations for you on request. The owners of two local restaurants are passionate road cyclists themselves and always have plenty of tips to share ;-)

Our hotel’s sauna and fitness area provide the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. Enjoy the soothing warmth of the sauna or keep active in our fitness area.
